This time around we decided to make our new model out of Japanese materials, and the first thing we need for doing this is the wood supply. When making your regular plywood hollow guitar the artisan uses Maple to make the plywood, but to bring this SeventySeven model to fruition our Aska workshop made veneers out of Japanese cherry tree wood in order to create unique laminated plywood for the production of this one of a kind Japanese-styled model. This 2019 model also comes with a renewed -Fuyuzakura- or Winter cherry tree design. With a slight blue tint added to the white coloration and a stylized snowflake that matches the cherry tree falling petals, the new design was born.
