Introduction

A standard series model with a better bang for your buck thanks to its finely tuned specifications and manufacturing processes that allow us to maintain the high built-in accuracy that is expected of a Headway product, you can be confident this model will last for a long time.

The -Advanced rear shift- is a design where the bracing crossing point is shifted slightly closer to the bridge. Common knowledge tells us that a forwards shift is the most suitable design for a good sound and that moving closer to the bridge will result in a more stiff and unwieldy sound, but through trial and error and enough adjustments, we landed on a design that not only avoids these downsides but also gives a more articulate tone and particularly a great boost to the sound on the high E and B strings.

Since this is a 2019 model, the headstock logo was updated. It has a slightly retro design that is attractive and familiar.

The fingerboard is made out of Richlite instead of the well-known ebony, this is mainly because with the years, acquiring this material is getting more and more difficult, on the other hand, Richlite is a manmade material, so this isn’t a problem at all. Additionally, it has very similar properties to those of Ebony, both in sound quality and appearance, making it a great option.

It has been a long time since it was used as a fingerboard material by other major guitar makers, but we have tested and decided it would be a good option for some products of the Headway Standard series.

Unlike natural materials, maintenance is not a problem, since you don’t have to do any kind of oil treatment, which is a considerable advantage.

It also goes with the Standard series concept of playing and performing regularly thanks to how light it is.

The extreme care put in the perfecting and fine-tuning of this design gave us an impressive result. Additionally, moving the bracing closer to the bridge, the overall integrity and durability of the body top also went up, making it so you can play with this instrument for a really long time
