LS52

After going through many prototypes showcased at trade shows, we finally release the renewed version of the STR SIERRA LS models in November 2018. The renewed SIERRA series offers more variety including 4-string, 5-string, passive electronics models, and even models with LED fingerboard markers. More finish options including translucent ones are also available. 
The LS52 comes equipped with Aguilar Hot jazz pickups, an OBP-3 preamp, and -made in Japan- Gotoh branded machine heads and bridge. Both maple fingerboard and blackwood fingerboard are decorated with beautiful abalone dot markers.

Masterfully crafted in Japan by experienced builders who trained under Satoru Yatsuzuka's tutelage. 

Aguilar Hot Jazz pickups

 
With their larger, 6mm magnets and over-wound design, the AG 4 and 5J-HOT pickups have a hotter output that will push your amplifier to its limits with a tone that is big and loud with thundering lows. Despite their sonic onslaught, the HOT pickups will retain all the dynamics of your playing style.

Aguilar OBP-3 Preamp

 
The OBP-3 is Aguilar’s most flexible onboard preamp design, providing +/-18dB of cut and boost at 40Hz, +/- 16dB of cut and boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and +/- 16dB of treble cut and boost at 6.5 kHz. With the 3 band EQs and mid frequency switch, you will have a great control over the tone of this bass.

Maple 3 piece neck

 
The Sierra bass series features 3 piece hard maple neck which is sturdier and more resistant to warping than a regular one piece neck.  

STR Semi Hard Gig Bag

 
STR Semi hard gig bag is reinforced from the inside with a hard material to protect your instrument. It also includes two shoulder straps so you can carry it like a backpack.

Blackwood

 
Blackwood is a technologically modified wood that exhibits the properties and appearance of ebony. Made from natural products, not plastic or derivates, it offers similar density and color to ebony.  Both maple board and blackwood board are decorated with abalone dot inlays.
